Eligibility for Economist Specialist - Institutions for Development at IDB Group

- Citizenship of an IDB member country required.
Requirements
- Master's degree required; PhD preferred in Economics or related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in empirical research or policy analysis.
- Strong publication record in applied microeconomics or public economics.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English; knowledge of French and Portuguese preferred.

Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level empirical research in public economics and development economics.
- Lead and contribute to institutional publications and policy notes.
- Support the Sectoral Economic Advisor in managing research quality.
- Collaborate with knowledge coordinators to provide technical feedback.
- Assist in preparing responses for Vice Presidency requests.
- Provide technical assistance for regional and country operations.
- Design and execute empirical evaluations and econometric modeling.
- Disseminate research findings through seminars and workshops.
