Should I add a photo to my CV in Pakistan?
Many Pakistani employers are used to CVs with a photo, so the option is there. For multinational companies and jobs abroad, a CV without a photo is usually safer. Every template works with or without one.
What should a Pakistani CV include?
Your name, phone, email and city; a short profile; work experience or internships with results; education with CGPA or marks; skills; and languages. You do not need to include your CNIC number, date of birth or father's name unless the employer asks for them.
What is the difference between a CV and a resume?
In Pakistan the two words are used for the same thing: a one or two page summary of your education, experience and skills. For academic jobs and scholarships a longer CV with research and publications is common.
