Eligibility for Scientific Officer Medical Entomology at ECDC - European Centre for
- Nationality of an EU Member State, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein.
- Fulfilled any obligations imposed by applicable laws on military service.
- Physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post.
Requirements
- Completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma.
- Thorough knowledge of one official EU language and satisfactory knowledge of another.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in relevant positions.
- Scientific and technical experience in the surveillance and control of arthropod vectors.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities
- Support the scientific and administrative planning of an expert panel on invasive Aedes mosquito control.
- Identify, review and synthesise evidence on invasive mosquito control.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based scientific advice on mosquito surveillance and control.
- Engage in ECDC's broader work on mosquito-borne diseases.
