About this role

The research will explore nonlinear travelling-wave solutions on inviscid liquid jets, particularly under conditions of vorticity and swirl. The project aims to develop new computational methods to analyze solitary waves and their stability, contributing to the understanding of fluid mechanics and interfacial flows.

Candidates will work under the supervision of Prof. Mark Blyth and will be involved in both mathematical and numerical techniques. The research will also extend to related configurations, such as ferrofluid jets, enhancing the theoretical framework in this area.
