About this role
As a Gender Based Violence Case Worker, you will coordinate and implement activities at the Women and Girls’ Safe Space. Your role includes assessing the needs of women and girls, developing care plans, and ensuring continuity of protection services in the absence of the Protection Officer.
You will maintain contact with community-based social workers to identify cases needing support, provide psychosocial assistance, and facilitate access to material aid. You will lead case management meetings, monitor progress, and uphold professional conduct in line with organizational policies.

Eligibility for Gender Based Violence Case Worker at Malteser International

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in GBV case management or humanitarian programming.
- Understanding of GBV guiding principles and survivor-centred case management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of local languages like Hausa and Kanuri is an advantage.
