Open a PDF in three steps
- Click Choose a file or drag the PDF onto the box.
- Each page appears below, sharp on any screen.
- Read it, or click Print or save as PDF to print it.
Why PDFs look the same everywhere
A PDF stores its pages exactly as they were laid out, with the fonts embedded. That is why government departments, testing services and universities publish their job advertisements, forms and results as PDFs, and why a CV saved as PDF looks the same on the recruiter's screen as on yours.
PDFs job seekers open most
- Job advertisements from public service commissions and departments, with the posts, eligibility and last date.
- Application forms and bank challan forms to print and fill in.
- Roll number slips, merit lists and results from testing services.
- Syllabus and test pattern documents.
- CVs and cover letters saved as PDF.

Reading scanned adverts
Many newspaper adverts are shared as scanned PDFs, which are photographs of the page. If the text looks small, zoom in with your browser (Ctrl and + on a computer, pinch on a phone). The page is drawn at your screen's full resolution, so zooming keeps it sharp.
Private by design
Online PDF readers usually upload your file first. Here the PDF is opened by your browser with its own PDF engine, and PDF scripting is switched off, so a PDF cannot run anything on your device. Nothing is stored after you close the page.
Save your CV as a PDF
The free CV Maker downloads your CV as a ready PDF. Open it here to check it before you apply, and run it through the CV Analyzer for feedback.
