INTERNSHIP: Governing Bodies Secretariat

UNESCO has posted an opportunity for an INTERNSHIP with the Governing Bodies Secretariat. The deadline for applications is 31 December 2026.

Overview

• Assist with designing and following up on upcoming sessions (debriefings, documents, decisions, Summary Records)
• Engage in archiving and classifying statutory documents;

1. When applying, you will need to respond to questions regarding your skills, experiences (if applicable), and interests. You will have one hour to complete the process.
2. Ensure that your contact information remains valid for the next 6 months.
3. Applications can only be submitted in either English or French.
4. If your documents are in other languages, please include an unofficial French or English translation.
5. Submission does not guarantee placement even if you meet the eligibility criteria, as we receive more applications than available positions.
6. Your application will be added to the pool of internship candidates and evaluated by UNESCO managers globally. It will remain in our internship portal for a period of time.
7. Not all candidates will receive a response. Selected candidates for openings will be directly contacted by the manager from the candidate pool. If you do not hear back within six months, it means your application was not selected.
