Eligibility for Unit Head - Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) (Assistant Vice

Place of posting: Karachi

Requirements

Minimum graduation or equivalent from a recognized university.
Preferred first class Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Environmental Sciences, or relevant certification.
At least 6 years of experience in financial institutions, audit firms, or consulting firms.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Climate Risk, Environmental Risk, Green Banking, Sustainability, or ESG.
Strong understanding of data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
Good understanding of ESG concepts and reporting standards.
Strong communication, analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Support the Wing Head in developing and enhancing the Bank's ESG reporting framework.
Assist in coordinating with relevant functions for ESG data collection and validation.
Prepare ESG disclosures and reports for management and stakeholders.
Track local and international ESG developments and summarize their relevance.
Maintain and update ESG data and reporting templates for accuracy.
Support the integration of ESG considerations into risk management frameworks.
Provide ESG reporting and analytical support for sustainable finance initiatives.
Monitor the Bank's ESG commitments and prepare progress updates.
Assist in developing ESG awareness and training initiatives.
Coordinate with Internal Audit and regulatory bodies on ESG reviews.
