About this role

This role is suitable for Emergency Medicine Residents who have completed CESR rotations and have NHS experience at a Senior Middle Grade level. You will manage both adult and paediatric cases in the Emergency Department while preparing for FRCEM examinations and additional competencies required for the specialist register.

You will receive support from an educational supervisor and will participate in regular meetings to track your progress. The role includes attending local teaching sessions and having access to study leave for continuous professional development, in line with trust policy.

Eligibility for Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine - QEHB at University

Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
Demonstrated competencies at Tier 4/ST4+ level.

Requirements

Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised university.
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
Minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience, primarily in acute care.
Minimum of 4 years at Tier 4/ST4+ in Emergency Medicine.
Completed CESR rotations and MRCEM.

Responsibilities

Manage adult and paediatric presentations in the Emergency Department.
Attend yearly ARCPs until CESR application submission.
Work with an educational supervisor to ensure training progression.
Participate in local and departmental teaching.
Use Kaizen e-portfolio to record progress and training.
