Overview

About this role

The role involves working in a small family-owned pet store, where you will handle both sales and grooming tasks. If you are a trained dog groomer, you will primarily work in the grooming area, while other candidates may focus solely on sales in the store. Expect to work independently for most of your shift, as you will often be the only staff member present.

Daily tasks include operating the cash register, unpacking deliveries, conducting inventory, cleaning, and other general store duties. The store sells a variety of pet products and live fish, and you will need to be comfortable with heavy lifting and using a ladder for stock replenishment. Continuous training opportunities are provided, and attendance at pet trade fairs is available.
