Eligibility for Research Officer at APHRC - African Population and Health Research
- Place of posting: Dakar
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Demography, Public Health, Sociology, or related field.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Field research experience using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Good command of quantitative analysis software (Stata, R or equivalent).
- Experience with qualitative analysis software is an asset.
- Knowledge of research ethics and data protection procedures.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and teamwork skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken French; English proficiency is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and monitoring of research activities and deliverables.
- Conduct reviews of scientific literature and document analyses.
- Contribute to the organization of data sources and technical documents.
- Participate in developing research protocols and training materials.
- Coordinate community case studies and liaise with partners.
- Participate in qualitative interviews and focus group discussions.
- Monitor data quality and contribute to data management and analysis.
- Prepare meeting notes and contributions to reports and publications.
