Eligibility for Project Associate at IOM - International Organization for Migration

  • Place of posting: Vienna

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities and international organizations.
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, and vulnerable groups.
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and Internet.
  • Fluency in English and German, with knowledge of Arabic as an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
  • Retrieve, compile, summarise, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  • Monitor budget by verifying availability of funds and updating budget-related information.
  • Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation.
  • Draft status reports and correspondence on project issues.
  • Respond to complex information requests and organise meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist in monitoring work of Implementing Partners and report non-compliances.
  • Provide guidance/training to new/junior staff.
