This PhD project aims to develop innovative thermal control solutions for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) used in small satellites and deep-space missions. You will engage in research that explores the use of passive phase-change materials (PCMs) to manage temperature fluctuations in extreme conditions, enhancing the lifespan and efficiency of PSCs.
You will work in UEA’s Thermofluids and Solar Energy laboratories, building transient models of PSC-PCM stacks and formulating high-conductivity PCM composites. This role suits candidates interested in thermofluids, energy materials, and space systems, and it offers the chance to publish research findings in reputable journals.
