Selection process for Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Government of

1. Applications are checked against the eligibility in the advertisement (education, age and domicile). Incomplete or late applications are not considered.
2. Eligible candidates sit a written test conducted by OTS. Roll number slips and test centres are published by OTS; check its website rather than waiting for a letter.
3. Candidates who qualify are called for an interview and the checking of original documents: CNIC, educational certificates, domicile and experience letters.
4. The final merit list follows the recruitment policy that applies to the employer, including any quotas the advertisement states, and selected candidates receive an offer or appointment letter.

How to prepare for the test

• Read the advertisement first for a syllabus or subject list. Where it gives none, tests for posts like these commonly cover English, general knowledge, Pakistan studies, Islamic studies, basic mathematics and the subject of the post.
• Practise with past and sample papers of OTS: the paper is multiple-choice and timed, so practise answering against the clock.
• On test day carry your original CNIC and a printed roll number slip, and reach the centre before the reporting time. Mobile phones and calculators are normally not allowed in the hall.

After you apply

• Keep a copy of your application and any courier or tracking receipt until the recruitment is finished.
• Check the OTS website regularly for your roll number slip, test date and result; search by your CNIC number.
• This page is updated when the last date or a test date changes. Save the job or set a reminder so you do not miss a change.
• Nobody can guarantee selection. Genuine employers do not ask for money beyond the official application fee; report anyone who asks you to pay for a job.
