About this role
The IPAS Creative Child Therapist will provide creative therapies to children aged 0-18 living in IPAS accommodation. The therapist will engage with children through play-based and fun interventions tailored to their individual needs, working both in group settings and one-on-one as required.
This position is part of the FAIM Project, which focuses on the personal and social development of children and families. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and work in various locations including Dublin South, Kildare, and West Wicklow, with an office base in Naas.

Eligibility for IPAS Creative Child Therapist (Part Time) at In Sync Youth & Family
Requirements
- Background and training in Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or other creative child therapies
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a therapeutic setting with children and young people
- Experience developing positive working relationships with children, families, and communities
- Eligibility for registration with IACP, PSI, IPTA, PTIRL, or equivalent bodies
- Good understanding of support services for asylum seekers
Responsibilities
- Deliver creative therapies to children in IPAS accommodation
- Engage children through play-based and fun interventions
- Work with children and young people on a 1:1 basis
- Collaborate with the FAIM multidisciplinary team
