Under the guidance of the Head of Secretariat and the Beat the Heat Programme Manager, the consultant will engage with signatory countries, coordinate meetings, and analyze data to inform technical support. This role is integral to advancing the objectives of the Cool Coalition and its initiatives.

Eligibility for Governance and Policy Consultant at UNEP - United Nations

Requirements
- Advanced university degree in environmental science, policies or engineering
- At least 1 year of professional experience in sustainable development or environmental work
- Experience with international stakeholder groups in sustainability or HVAC industry
- Technical understanding of passive cooling and environmental impacts of cooling appliances
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Responsibilities
- Facilitate participation of signatory countries in working groups
- Coordinate bilateral needs calls with signatory countries
- Organize online and in-person capacity-building activities
- Develop knowledge products on urban heat and sustainable cooling
- Analyze data and requests from participating cities
- Draft project proposals and concept notes
