Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
Strong experience in a small or medium-sized charity with a broad understanding of charity finance operations.
Hands-on experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and year-end accounts.
Strong understanding of Charity SORP, fund accounting, and restricted funds.
Experienced user of Xero, including its reporting functionality.
Experience maintaining financial controls and supporting statutory audits.
Ideally have experience improving finance systems and processes.
Confident in partnering with non-finance colleagues and communicating financial information.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate financial processing and reporting.
Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.
Oversee month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and audit preparation.
Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders, providing financial insight and support.
Maintain strong financial controls, compliance, and charity fund accounting.
Support the transition from outsourced to in-house finance operations.
Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and reporting.
Take on increasing management responsibilities as the charity grows.
