Eligibility for Bioinformatics Research Associate at Imperial College London

Candidates who have not yet been awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant.

Requirements

PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, genetics, statistics or a related discipline.
Strong programming skills in Python, R, Bash and/or Perl.
Experience analysing genomics and multi-omics datasets.
Experience developing reproducible computational workflows.
Experience with HPC or cloud computing infrastructure.
Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the harmonisation, integration and analysis of large-scale multi-omics datasets.
Develop, maintain and document computational pipelines for next-generation sequencing and proteomics datasets.
Identify innate immune correlates of protection through bioinformatics analyses.
Collaborate with AI and mathematical modelling teams to support therapeutic development.
Present findings to collaborators and contribute to publications and grant applications.
Support implementation of FAIR data principles and open science practices.
