Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in finance or administration.
- Experience in a complex environment; NGO experience is a plus.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make sound decisions.
- Team player with the ability to work in a stressful environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of finance policies and procedures.
- Process daily data entry, bank, and cash transactions.
- Prepare checks, bank letters, and bank transfers for payments.
- Review petty cash expenses and process payments.
- Organize and maintain an efficient filing system for financial documents.
- Conduct regular site visits for program-related payments.
- Handle checks and bank letters for suppliers.
- Follow up on outstanding advances.
- Maintain custody of office petty cash.
- Perform bi-weekly and month-end cash counts.
- Provide support during audits and donor visits.
- Assist with finance reconciliations during month-end and year-end closing.
